The gardens offer a graceful backdrop for wedding receptions, garden ceremonies and post-wedding celebrations. Wide green spaces allow flexible arrangements for seating, dining, dance floors and décor, while the surrounding landscape and evening atmosphere give couples a backdrop that feels intimate and exclusive rather than commercial.

Space for the full, dignified rhythm

Introduction ceremonies, kwanjula and kuhingira are among the most important family occasions in Ugandan culture, and they ask for more than an open field and a tent. These are gatherings where two families meet, receive one another, exchange gifts, share food and move through a long, dignified programme.

The Ddungu Residence is suited to the full rhythm of these events. The gardens accommodate the main ceremony and the wider guest party, while the home provides the private, respectful spaces that a traditional function requires behind the scenes.
